Chaweng Tara Hotel - Chaweng (Koh Samui)

We had a really nice stay at Chaweng Tara. Very comfortable with a good size room that looked out on to a nice garden with lots of birds & other wildllife running around. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the attached restaurant has better food than the nearby resorts for half the price. Internet was fast & reliable - I'm a web developer and had no problems working while we stayed there.

There is no straight way to the beach you have to come across the main road and go throught Impiana hotel to the beach. Hotel is situated far away from all main activities so If you don't drive bike It will take about 25 minutes walk to main Chaweng street or use taxi servise which is quite expensive on Samui.

The staff were very professional and thorough, and the room was nicely decorated and big.

There was a moldy smell in my room that didn't go away with airing. Also the hotel is beside a main thoroughfare so the front rooms are noisy.

Staff was very helpfull and friendly - we had to leave the hotel very early at the end of our stay for our transport pickup - they gave us breakfast 5.30 am and we were very thankfull.Rooms had enough space and was clean - hotel is a real family business - rooms are 5 star! - good vallue for money.

The position is just out from Chaweng (not really walking distance): the room was not that clean and the bathroom really small.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms. The hotel is south of busy city area but close enough to make trips to nightlife easy. Close to great beach.

Rooms on the front have some trafic noise.

Chaweng Noi beach is a 3 min walk. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and affordable. Reception and family were very helpful and considerate.

Location ok, it is good to rent motorbike, we rented at the hotel, about 250 b. Fast free fi wi internet. Breakfast not very good, very very simple. Hotel is clean.

Pillow is not comfortable.

Staff was very helpful and nice. They care about the comfort of their guests and take pride in their hotel. This beach, Chaweng Nui, though a 5 min walk and across the beach I considered a better beach than the big busy Chaweng Beach. It was quieter and not crazy, but perfect.

2 km walk to town, though it was not hard to get to by walk or taxi. Worth staying at this beach over the other one.

Great staff, makes you feel really at home. Big rooms, deposit box, tv, perfect ac, drinking water, fridge, hot water all the time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very quite place. Close to chaweng noi beach - nice quite beach. They also have a nice restaraunt Great value for the money, very recommended.

Location - you need a tuk-tuk or a taxi to go to chaweng main street, but in tuk tuk its only 50 bat, and really 5 min.

Great rooms, Lovely staff, really comfortable and pleasant stay. Thoroughly recommended. Particular plus points; Proper safety deposit box in room, comprehensive cable tv, spacious room, coffee making facilities in room. Hotelier provided free lift into town on one of the evenings. The hotel is substantially cheaper than those on the beach and on the main stretch.

The location is quite far from the main, lively stretch of Chaweng Beach. Realistically a 30 min walk and the hotel is situated at the bottom of a steep hill. We genuinely didn't mind this however families with young children and older people should bear this in mind. That said, taxi stations are right outside the hotel. The biggest inconvenience is going to the main stretch/beach during the afternoon and then having to get back to the hotel to shower etc only to have to get back to the main bars/restaurants again.

Very pleasant and helpful owners of the hotel. The best beach on Samui, Chaweng Noi. You can easily take songteo to Lamai or Chaweng.
